About the role
You will keep the store running by checking and fixing our equipment — fridges, freezers, ovens, generator, lights, plumbing and fittings. You will do daily checks, handle small repairs yourself, and call in the right technician for big jobs. Basic electrical or technical skill is needed; we will teach you the rest.
Pay for this role varies by store location.
What you’ll do
- Do a daily walk-round: check fridges, freezers, ovens, generator, lights and water
- Record fridge and freezer temperatures every morning and evening
- Fix small problems: bulbs, sockets, taps, leaks, doors, shelves
- Service and fuel the generator; keep a fuel and hours log
- Call in and supervise outside technicians for big repairs
- Keep a simple log of every fault and repair
- Report any safety risk (exposed wires, leaks, gas smell) at once
What we’re looking for
- Basic skill in electrical work, plumbing or generator repair
- Able to use simple tools safely
- Able to write a simple log
- Ready to come in outside normal hours for emergencies
- Trade certificate (e.g. electrical installation) is a plus
- Honest and reliable
